WE ARE TRYING TO REACH YOU.
PLEASE CALL US AT THE NUMBER
SHOWN ON THE REVERSE OF THIS
CARD. THIS IS A FREE CALL.
SINCERELY - PAT HAINES
	                        SALES REPRESENTATIVE
The return address was:

N.M.E.
16120 U.S. 19 NORTH
Clearwater, FL 33764

The phone number was 1-800-581-3316

I searched on the street address and city and found that this is apparently another magazine scam.

Edumacation has additional [information](http://edumacation.com/NationalMagazineExchange “Edumacation”) on National Magazine Exchange (N.M.E.) and its magazine scam.

I got the same thing, except the postcard was green. It had a return address on it to: N.M.E, 16120 U.S. 19 North, Clearwater, FL 33764. Also I wanted info quick about this, so i googled the whole 800 number. Steve’s blog here is the only hit…thanks for the info.

I got the same thing but with no return address. I Googled her name and that phone number and, besides your blog, http://badbusinessbureau.com/ popped up. Sure enough, both National Magazine Exchange (N.M.E.) and their sweepstakes are scams.

This is incredible. I was thinking I would not find anything. I searched the complete phone number. Nothing came up. So then I took off the 1-. And that led me to you guys. I am very pleased to know first hand what this was about from this website. Like some of you. I got the green card. And I am not an illegal alien. N.M.E. address, phone number, and an ID code. On the back it says First Class, Postcard, and Zip Code are all Xed. As well as the name Pat Haines.

I just got the same thing in the mail today. I called the 1-800 # and they said someone would be with me shortly. Then they started talking about some sweepstakes while I was holding. I googled the name N.M.E., but nothing came up. Then I googled the number and this website came up. Thank you so much!!

I’ll second what others have posted… my mother’s name (not misspelled like many other solicitations) on a green postcard marked “Official Business.” I would have thought it something from the gov’t or IRS but when I saw SALES REPRESENTATIVE on the last line, I became suspicious. A Google of the phone number (you can search any number you want, I use it for want ads) brought me here. A Better Business Bureau info page is at
    http://www.bbbwestflorida.org/commonreport.html?bid=10292

Mr. Jenkins thanks for your blog. Keep up the good work! 🙂

Thanks for the information about the scam on the yellow card. I got one on a green card today and Googled the phone number along with “NME,” which brought me to your page. Gonna see if I can report these guys to the BBB or something.

Funny how N.M.E. is pronounced “ENEMY”. I got the same thing today, except mine was pink and said $25,000. It’s in the trash now. Poor tree. 🙁

I’ve received two of these. I did enter a bunch of sweepstakes through Good Housekeeping’s website, so I thought it might have something to do with that. Now I am not so sure.
