I ordered some birthday presents for my older son from Sears Saturday, and I used their standard shipping. Sears shipped the package Tuesday and it was delivered today. The e-mail notifying me that the package had shipped arrived after the package was delivered. The package had a Danville return address on the box – I guess Sears has a warehouse in Danville.

The Sears delivery time and service was the polar opposite of my buy.com experience. I ordered an ipod from buy.com on 2/12. It shipped on 2/14 from Pennsylvania and finally arrived in Roanoke on 3/3. It took *17 days* to go from Pennsylvania to Roanoke! What was the ipod shipped on – the back of a mule? I’ll think long and hard before ordering anything from buy.com again.
