Redskins Offense Has a Long Way to Go

The Redskins have struggled to move the ball against their own defense almost every day in practice. The Ravens sacked Ramsey four times. Then, in Saturday’s 28-10 loss to Carolina, Ramsey and the first-team offense failed to produce a point in five drives over nearly two quarters – even with the Panthers phasing their starters out of the game starting with the third drive.

I think Patrick Ramsey still looks like a shell-shocked deer in the headlights. I questioned Joe Gibbs’ drafting of Jason Campbell, but maybe we’re starting to see what he saw last year – a problem with Ramsey that isn’t fixable.

On a high note, it looks like the year off may have done Mark Brunell some good. I’d like to see how well he does against a first-string defense.
