Satcasters Underpaying Labels For Music Rights

Satellite radio firms are underpaying the major labels for the rights to their music, and some pricing flexibility needs to be introduced into the iTunes service, Warner Music Group CEO Edgar Bronfman said Thursday.

The greedy, money-hungry music industry wants an even larger slice of the pie. Aren’t XM and Sirius still losing money? Paying higher rates will make profitability even less attainable.
