What Was in the Mailbox Thursday, 12.08.2005?

Thursday, the mailbox contained:

* December 16, 2005 issue of [Sporting News](http://www.sportingnews.com) (BCS BLITZ!)
* January 2006 issue of [Smart Money](http://www.smartmoney.com) (Where To Invest 2006)
* December 2005 issue of [Nuts and Volts](http://www.nutsvolts.com) (The Flying Marbellos) – “The Poor Man’s CNC Milling Machine” article on page 52 looks interesting. I also noticed they’ve made the online version of the magazine free to print subscribers, and it uses the same interface that Make uses. They’re also offering the option to download the current issue, but it’s in mhtml format, which doesn’t work in Firefox. Why couldn’t they make the dowload a pdf???
* December 2005 issue of [Nursing2005](http://www.nursing2003.com/) (Focus on common eye emergencies)
* November/December 2005 [Amazon.com tools & hardware](http://www.amazon.com/tools) Catalog (110% lowest price guarantee plus free shipping on most orders over $25) – The 2 brands featured in the catalog were Porter Cable and Delta)
* An advertisement from Amrhein’s Jewelry – I was unable to find a website.
* A plea from [Goodwill Industries of the Valleys](http://www.goodwill-the-valleys.com/)
* A plea from the Roanoke [Rescue Mission](http://www.rescuemission.net)
* A CD – Highway 61 Revisited

UPS delivered some items from [Books-A-Million](http://www.booksamillion.com)

* October/November 2005 issue of [Ready Made](http://www.booksamillion.com/ncom/mag?id=3340907440618&mid=0000006851)
* [Illicit](http://www.booksamillion.com/ncom/books?id=3340907440618&pid=0385513925) (How Smugglers, Traffickers, and Copycats are Hijacking the Global Economy)
