Coyotes continue to kill livestock in Virginia

Coyotes continue to kill livestock and pets in growing numbers across Virginia. In 2005, coyotes killed 433 sheep, 40 calves and 62 goats in 2005. That’s a 50 percent increase in sheep losses from the previous year, and a 51% increase in goat losses.
