Sony has some of its home and car audio/video owner’s manuals available for download in pdf format. The link above will take you to a page where you can search by model number. You will want to enter the entire model number. For example, when I entered xr-ca350 no results were returned, but when I entered xr-ca350x, 3 results were returned.

Yaesu has some of its owner’s manuals available for download in pdf. The link above will take you to a search page where you can enter the model number. When entering the model, you will want to enter the hyphen in the model name. For example, I got 2 results when I entered ft817 as the search criteria, but I got 9 results when I entered ft-817. I also noticed that no results were returned when I tried to find a manual for either the FT-747 or FT-757.

Another KCA-420I Alpine-to-Ipod Interface Review

The Philippine Macintosh Users Group has a review of the KCA-420I. They liked the great sound, the small size, easy install, the charging of the Ipod while it’s connected to the KCA-420I, and the ability of the Ipod to go into Pause mode after the vehicle’s ignition is turned off. They did not like the user interface. They also have a short video showing what it’s like to use the KCA-420I.

Alpine states on page 6 of the KCA-420I’s owner’s manual that it will only work with 2004 and up AI-NET compatible head units. Here’s a list of the head units Alpine says are compatible:
